Preheat the Waffle Iron
Preheat your waffle iron to medium high heat and brush both plates generously with melted butter to prevent sticking.
Fill the Waffle Iron
Scoop about three quarters of a cup of the mac and cheese mixture onto the center of the waffle iron. Sprinkle shredded cheddar on top before closing the lid.
Cook Until Crispy
Close the waffle iron and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until the waffle is deeply golden and crispy on the outside. Do not open the iron early or the waffle will fall apart.
Serve Hot
